The people playing the game are the Players. One of the Players will be the Narrator. The remaining Players will describe the actions of and speak in the voice of a Hero, either assigned to them or of their own creation. Each Hero in the game will have a corresponding Character Sheet. The Character Sheet will have details about that Hero and specific values listed, that are used to interact with the rules of the game.

The Narrator is responsible for describing the world the Heroes inhabit, reacting to the actions of the Heroes, describing what all other characters do, and speaking in the voice of those characters. The Narrator will keep notes providing details about the story being told and keeping track of specific values, that are used to interact with the rules of the game.

All Players are responsible for the smooth application of the rules of the game, but the Narrator is the final arbiter of those rules.
